OUR IMPACT
At ZunZun Sonrisa, our mission is to support organizations that empower women living with PTSD, trauma, and hardship. Through fundraising and community partnerships in both the United States and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, we provide essential resources such as food, medicine, and feminine hygiene products. We believe that when women are supported, families and communities become stronger. As one woman at our partner center in Puerto Vallarta once told me, "Ryan, what you are doing is very important because here in Mexico, when you save a woman, you save a family." Those words continue to inspire our mission every day.

CANVAS BAG PROGRAM
To help our partner organizations build greater self-sufficiency and create lasting opportunities, we provide all of the materials needed to create handmade canvas tote bags at no cost. The women are able to learn and practice valuable skills while creating beautiful, meaningful products through craftsmanship and creativity.
This program can help generate additional support for the organizations while providing a creative outlet that promotes healing, confidence, and a sense of accomplishment. Each bag represents more than a finished product—it represents time, effort, creativity, and the possibility of a brighter future. Through this program, we hope to create opportunities for women to discover their talents, build confidence, and take part in something they can be proud of.
ENGLISH LEARNING PROGRAM
Through a scholarship awarded by PRAKTIKA, we have received 20 language-learning licenses to provide English classes for the women we serve. To support their learning, we are supplying tablets and expanding access to educational resources, including audiobooks.
In a city driven by tourism, even basic English skills can open doors to better employment opportunities and greater independence. Our goal is to help these women build confidence, develop new skills, and create brighter futures as they transition beyond the center.

The women work together to prepare handmade tamales using fresh ingredients and traditional techniques. Every batch is created with care, teamwork, and pride, transforming simple ingredients into a product made for their community.
Built Together
ZunZun Sonrisa provides the initial ingredients and supplies needed to help the women begin producing tamales. Through this project, they are developing practical skills in food preparation, teamwork, production, and entrepreneurship while building the foundation for a sustainable small business opportunity.
Creating Opportunity
The women are building a product that can be sold to members of the local community, creating an opportunity to develop practical business skills and generate income through their own work. As the project grows, successful sales can help support continued production and create a foundation for a more sustainable future.
