My name is Ceci Mendoza, and I am honored to be part of the mission of ZunZun Sonrisa. Through the handmade bag program, I work alongside incredible women who are rebuilding their lives, helping them transform simple materials into beautiful products that create both income and hope.

What began as a way to raise funds has become an opportunity for healing, creativity, and personal growth.

I am grateful to be part of a community that believes in second chances and empowers women to discover their strength, value, and potential.

I arrived at this recovery home more than three years ago. The strength I have found within myself is a testament to the power of community. Here, surrounded by people who understand my struggles, the group therapy sessions and the stories of other members inspired me to keep fighting.

Every day is a new opportunity to learn and grow, finding strength in God and in unity. I am deeply grateful to Jóvenes Vallarta Una Esperanza de Vida A.C., my recovery home. It has not only helped me leave my addictions behind, but it has also taught me the value of empathy, compassion, and resilience.

This experience has shown me that recovery is possible. I have learned to value life and appreciate the simple moments that once went unnoticed.

Jennifer

My name is Jennifer. I lived for a long time trapped in addiction, losing myself and experiencing the pain and hopelessness of the streets.

When I arrived at Jóvenes Vallarta, the most important change in my life began. During that time, I met my godfather, Boris, who taught me self-love and helped me understand that my past didn't define who I was.

Today I continue my recovery, guided by God, learning to live with honesty, humility, and hope. My story proves that it is possible to overcome addiction and start over. Today I choose to live.
